She graduated from Al-Quds University (Jerusalem) in 2001, a member of the first cohort of the Faculty of Medicine. She gained advanced training in psychiatry in France and the United Kingdom, as well as in clinical research in the United States.
Dr. Samah Jabr is a consultant psychiatrist practicing in Palestine, serving communities in East Jerusalem and the West Bank, and the former Head of the Mental Health Unit within the Palestinian Ministry of Health. She is an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at George Washington University in Washington DC. She is also a Member of the Scientific Committee of the “Global Initiative Against Impunity (GIAI) for international crimes and serious human rights violations”, a program co-funded by the European Union.
